the outrigger event in magdeburg - a very nice but also rather challenging competition on the river elbe. the weather conditions were miserable, with 7�, constant rain, wind and - due to the high water level - an extremely strong current. 3 rounds of the course had to be completed, with racing speeds varying from a mere 3.2 km/h going against and 21.7 km/h with the current. after a tough start, we immediately took the lead amongst the mixed teams and were able to increase it even further with each round.
we are sure to return next year, probably with a larger part of rostock's outrigger group.
